Print elective week 2

I was out sick for most of the elective. I managed to get some prints done.found the crowds in the print room very overwhelming.

Print elective week 1

This week we were introduced to print. I find the print process very interesting. I have done drypoint prints this week. Picked up a lot of theory. processess involved are very unique. It encourages ideas and concepts and the potential to be a very rewarding experience. this week it was a bit difficult to achieve as much I would have hoped to because space was limited in the print room.

Fashion elective week 2

Just completed week 2 of fashion. Loved very moment of it and learnt loads from. I found working with shapes and fabic very natural. this week we had to creates 6 outfits for the final line up. Got trained on sewing machine. I felt I pushed my shapes and fabric as much as I could. It was a rush at the last minute but it was worth it.

Fashion Elective week 1

From brief given I choose kitchen appliance as my theme. I finally settled on a washing machine. I picked 2 shaped from that and created different looks. I have taked the colours of the appliance and created a paint pallette that hopefully conveys the mood. done lots of research on designers and going through issues of vogue magazine. Done drawings of appliances in my own kitchen. not in on friday the 1february because very sore neck unable to even drive. medical cert provided. Over the weekend did more research on designers for my contextual notebook I am very inspired by avant garde designers and also futuristic designer.

Vis Comm 2 weeks elective

The vis comm elective was a very stressful time , very distracted by other issues. The first week completely misunderstood the brief. The second week managed to get a handle on the brief for illustrations. Elective did not go as well I would have hoped for. On hindsight should have asked much more questions so that mistakes do not be made in the future.

Urban enviroment week 9-16

Made further studies using a variety of materials. did large scale drawings as per recommendations. experimented with braille art.Used my vegetable as inspiration to come up with 3 ideas to take my project further, I used the shapes in the vegetable to create my own typography. the shape also inspired  the creation of sex toy and lava lamp paintings.
